Effective remedies for cracked heels
Hello guys, I'm back with the effective remedies for cracked heels. As we all know in winters our heels become one of the delicate parts of the body that has to be taken care with time but we generally do not pay attention to them and we put all our moisturizing kinds of stuff on our face and hands resulting poor condition of heels. Here, some people are quite lucky who don't have highly cracked heels like me but some people have to work a lot due to which they don't get time to take care of the heels like my mom, who then suffers through highly cracked heels problem. So, here are some effective and tried remedies. Let's begin with the easiest one.
Vaseline and Lemon Juice
- Take one tablespoon of Vaseline.
- Add half of the lemon juice to it.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Note: If you have a sensitive skin or have any doubt please do a patch test before applying.

Now, its time to share the best and common remedy. This will take some time but trust me it works wonders.
- Take 3 tablespoons of mustard oil or coconut oil or olive oil.
- Shred one candle and add the shredded candle in mustard oil container (steel bowl) or whatever oil you have taken.
- Now, melt the candle using double boiler method or microwave. How to melt candle using double boiler method.
- After melting the candle, add 1 spoon of Vaseline to it (it's optional). Vaseline and glycerin are the two things which I love to use especially in winters.
- Before applying this, clean your foot using a pumice stone. Pat dry your feet.
- Now, apply it on your heels and massage gently. Put on socks after applying so that no dirt particle can get stuck to your heels.
- Apply it at night if possible otherwise, you can apply it any time.
- You can store it up to 2-3 months or even more than that at room temperature.
Points to be Noted: You can melt candle without shredding it and you can melt the candle in any way you like.
You can take beeswax, if you have then its great otherwise candle wax is what I have used and it is also easily available in homes.
You can take any oil as I have mentioned above plus you can take different - different oil for eg 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp of mustard oil and 1 tbsp olive oil. I mean these things are up to you. You can take it in any way.
Precautions
- Avoid hot water shower and use warm water if you can. But if you can't then moisturize your heels after taking bath.
