Skin whitening home remedies for dry skin
Here I'm going to share some skin whitening home remedies for dry skin. These remedies are tested on my own skin which will make your skin soft and nourished. It will definitely lighten your skin if used on regular basis for at least two months on alternate days.
So, let's start with the first home remedy.
Licorice(Mulethi or Yastimadhu) and Rice Powder
- Add 1 tbsp of rice powder
- Add a pinch of wild turmeric.
- Add 3-4 tbsp of tomato juice. The paste should have a medium consistency. So, add juice accordingly.
- You can also use potato juice or beetroot juice or lemon juice if you don’t want to use tomato juice.
- Mix them thoroughly and apply on your face and hands with the help of the brush.
- Apply it for minimum 12-15 minutes.
- You can wash it off with normal water, but I personally scrub gently with wet hands and then wash my face.
Benefits:

- It helps to improve complexion.
Points to be Noted: if you have a sensitive skin or have any doubt please do a patch test before applying.

Lemon, Honey and Raw Milk
- Take 2-3 tbsp raw milk.
- Add 3-4 drops of lemon juice and let it curdle.
- Add half tsp honey (if you want).
- Mix and apply on your face with a brush it will save your time as well as it is hassle-free.
- Once it gets dried, rub your face gently you will notice some dirt getting out with this but if not then do not rub your face harshly, you can wash your face by gently massaging face by your wet hands.
- For better results, apply this every night before sleep.
Points to be Noted: As my skin is not at all sensitive if you have a sensitive skin or have any doubt please do a patch test before applying as lemon can irritate the sensitive skin and do not apply on wounds or cuts.
You can skip honey if you want but it has antibacterial property as well as it gives a soothing effect to your skin.
You can also use cinnamon powder if you have acne prone skin.
Curdle milk will clean your skin deeply and your dry skin will become super soft.
Red Lentils and Raw Milk
- Take 1 tbsp red lentils or red masoor dal powder
- Add 1-2 tbsp raw milk according to the consistency of the paste
- Mix them thoroughly.
- Apply it on your face and leave it for 15 minutes
- You can wash it off with normal water, but I prefer scrubbing first then washing my face.
- Red lentils are good for improving skin complexion.
- Good for tan removal.
- Prevent aging and acne.
Points to be Noted: Red lentils makes skin quite dry.
All the measurements are given according to my skin. So, test and try yourself.

- Orange peel powder(any citric fruit) helps to reduce blemishes.
- It helps to improve the skin complexion.
Points to be Noted: You can take any citric fruit peel powder in place of orange peel powder but just do a patch test before applying.

Oatmeal and tomato
- Take one teaspoon juice of tomato.
- Add oatmeal and curd to make a fine paste with medium consistency.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Apply on your face and leave it for 15 minutes.
- Remove by scrubbing with hands gently. Take some water in hands if it feels dry while removing.
